Pre-Treatment Tips

  • If you choose a topical numbing cream, apply at least 45 mins before treatment *numbing cream available for purchase
  • Avoid caffeine before treatment; it can make the treatment more sensitive
  • Avoid retinols and facials at least 48 hours before treatment
  • Take Tylenol or Ibuprofen up to an hour before your treatment
  • Make sure the hairs are a least 1/16 of an inch in length so that it can be treated. If the hair is too short, it might not be treated.
  • Please arrive on time, as all appointments are based on time. If you are more than 10 mins late, we reserve the right to reschedule the appointment and charge for the missed appointment. This is out of respect to our client’s time and schedules. We do offer text and email confirmation for the client’s convenience. However, the client is ultimately responsible for the appointment, whether or not the client receives a confirmation.

Post-Treatment Tips

  • Ice if needed to help minimize swelling and any discomfort.
  • Moisturize! Moisturize! Moisturize!
  • Use a gentle wash to cleanse your face, and avoid any products with exfoliation or scrub until the area has healed completely
  • Avoid excessive sweating! Sweat can cause bacteria to enter the open follicles, which may cause a minor infection. Exercise prior to your appointment.
  • Avoid touching and picking or scratching the treated area. Bacteria can be transferred easily to the treated area, which can cause breakouts.
  • Use antiseptic (like witch hazel) 2x daily for 2-3 days on the area if needed. Keep treated area clean.
  • Apply an anti-bacterial ointment or cream* to the treated area if needed to help your skin heal. Bacitracin, Polysporin, Neosporin. Apply with Q-tips or clean hands.
  • Avoid makeup on treated area for at least 24 hours after treatment.
  • Avoid the sun for at least 24-48 hours after your treatment. Your skin produces pigment to defend against harmful UV rays, this can result in hyperpigmentation. Always. Wear. Sunscreen!
